Our Mission
Our country is facing a converging public health crisis: a surging national mental health crisis, an epidemic of loneliness, and the corrosive influence of social media on mental health. These forces do not operate in isolation - they feed each other, reshape how we connect, how we communicate, and how we perceive ourselves and one another. And they do not stay contained. They crash into every corner of human experience - fueling anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, chronic stress, substance use, and a profound, aching loneliness that no algorithm can fix - cutting across every income level, every community, every zip code, leaving no one untouched and no community unscathed.
Layered onto all of it are crises that demand their own urgent reckoning: mass incarceration - a system that has imprisoned millions, devastated families, and hollowed out communities at a scale this country has yet to fully confront; gun violence, which has become so normalized we have begun to grieve it instead of stop it; the ongoing assault on women’s health and reproductive rights, which strips women of autonomy and dignity at the very moment they need the system most; and the targeting of the LGBTQ+ community, threatening their ability to feel safe, access care, and secure the legal protections every person deserves. And woven through all of it - a generation of children growing up in the crosshairs of poverty, trauma, family instability, and systems that were never designed with their survival in mind.
These are not separate problems. They are interconnected symptoms of a single deeper failure: the erosion of human connection, community, equity, and belonging.
The people most devastated by these crises are not random. They are the people this country has historically underserved, overpoliced, underfunded, and overlooked. We do not treat that as coincidence. We treat it as the central problem.
At Tribe Consulting, we answer that call.
Social justice is not a program we run. It is the ground we stand on.
We are guided by one unwavering belief: every person deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, access what they need to thrive, and realize their full potential - not just the most vulnerable, but the person who has insurance and still can’t find a therapist, the family that earns too much to qualify and too little to pay, the community that has been told help is coming for so long they’ve stopped believing it. That belief is not aspirational for us. It is operational.
We are clinicians, advocates, strategists, policymakers, and community builders - but above all, conveners and coalition-builders. We bring clinical expertise, lived experience, and community voice to the tables where decisions get made. When we are not invited to those tables, we build our own.
We are building toward a tipping point - the moment when a critical mass of voices, stories, and sustained pressure makes the old way of doing things impossible to defend. That is what every partnership, every coalition, every dollar we raise, and every strategy we build is moving toward. Deliberately. Strategically. And with urgency.
Because when systems fail people, someone has to be willing to say so. And then do something about it.
That’s what Tribe is for.
